Cooks & Partners support agency, ACA Live, at the debut of the Glenfiddich Experimental Series i

The world of the Glenfiddich Experimental Series has been brought to life on the 69th floor, the viewing platform of the Shard. Visitors are invited to “Join the Experimentalists" and engage with the brand through an interactive app to find their perfect Glenfiddich whisky serve.

The Glenfiddich Experimental Series is a range that combines the brand’s passion for pushing Scotch whisky boundaries and collaborating with trailblazers from the whisky world and beyond. Cooks & Partners worked alongside the creative agency ACA Live at the launch event to pair flavours, tastes and ingredients along with Glenfiddich Winter Storm, Glenfiddich Project XX and the Glenfiddich IPA Experiment (the first single malt Scotch finished in craft IPA casks). VIP members of the press could taste smoked venison, to draw out the rich earthy complexities of Project XX and homemade curd cheeses with Winter Storm, paired for their light delicate flavour and limited acidic finish. These were then finished with oat bread and charred sweet beetroot.

This marks the start of a month long installation at the venue. Debbie Poulton, Head of Events at Cooks & Partners said, “We have had such a brilliant year catering for events in the venue space and we are delighted to work with ACA Live, Glenfiddich and The View from the Shard as the year ends. Our chefs jump at the opportunity to plan a menu predominantly around taste and ingredients, so this event was always a perfect pairing with our ethos”.

Cooks & Partners were chosen from the approved caterers list at The View from the Shard after a round of whisky tastings and menu collaboration sessions. James Inston from ACA Live said “we chose to work with the team at Cooks & Partners because they really impressed us with their taste buds and creative menu writing”.

The Glenfiddich experience runs at The View from the Shard until 21st December 2017.
